"Still Life with Lily Bouquet"
19" x 27"
Watercolor on Paper
My latest watercolor that I've been working on for awhile. I love working with a limited palette. I will be doing a 3 day workshop in May, which will detail working with glass in a still life. Click here for more information.
I am delighted to announce that my watercolor "Golden Girls" was accepted into the Transparent Watercolor Society of America's 41st Annual Exhibition. And...since this is my third acceptance into their prestigious show, I will be receiving my TWSA letters, signature status. This is so exciting for me. A special thank you to the jurors Jean Pederson and Bruce Handford for including me in this exhibition. For over 700 entries, only 80 were chosen.
This is one of the sweetest watercolors I've done. Both literally and figuratively. It was a blast to do with all of the different textures and shapes. Soft icing, shiny lollipop, candy heart, cupcake and liner! This video covers it all, including the background. It is available on the For the Love of Watercolor forum. Click here for more information on joining my forum, and painting with us. Prices start at $12.50 per month.

We'll start off the New Year with some larger watercolors I've done. I was nominated by Yvonne de Visser to take the Facebook Challenge. Thank you Yvonne! That's posting 7 paintings in 7 days. You can see them on my Facebook page, but here are the first three days.

Here is one of the videos on my forum, "White Lily in Vase". It was a huge hit with the members, as it covers many of the essential elements of a still life. Flower, glass vase, dark background & reflections. I thought this would give you some insight about what to expect from my forum when you join, For the Love of Watercolor. Here is a link to the video: White Lily in Vase Video (You'll need to download the video, by clicking download in the upper right hand corner, to be able to view the whole thing. The whole video is 1-1/2 hours.)
When you sign up for the forum, you are also given: the drawing, the reference photo & the photo of the finished watercolor. Here is a link to the reference materials for you, should you decide to paint this one: White Lily in Vase Reference Materials
